ABOUT MAYA
Maya is our very first Alaskan Klee Kai and comes from Kathy Burnett of KodiAKK Kennels. She completely changed our lives for the better, and introduced us to the world of dog ownership. We quickly developed a passion for dog training and made many new friends along the way!
From the beginning, Maya proved that she was quite intelligent, learning new tricks weekly (the crowd pleaser being her "wave" trick) with a very eager-to-please attitude. She also taught us a lot of lessons when it came to separation anxiety, crate training, and socializing.
After connecting with Lisa and Karen, we decided to dive in and try altered conformation. It took some time, but Maya caught on and started to enjoy showing and earned her UKC Champion and Grand Champion titles. Maya is a Miniature Klee Kai measuring 14 inches at the withers.
When Maya was around three years old, we decided to try agility and rally obedience and found that excelled at both of these. She has earned titles in both venues, and get especially amped up when she knows we are headed to agility class.
Maya was spayed per our contract with her breeder as we did not have any intention of breeding or showing when we first got her. Regardless, her outgoing nature and willingness to please makes her our heart and joy.
